a great bike

This bike has been wonderful thus far. The only quarrel I had with it was that the instructions did not match up with the actual bike. While I was putting it together I swiftly realized there were parts missing that the instructions said should be there. This made me have to call Populo to figure out what was going on. They then assured me that the instructions were out of date. Also I suggest having a variety of hex wrenches and other tools for putting it together because they are not provided despite the claim that they were provided.

As Advertised - Satisfied my need for a commuter bike

The bike is as advertised. I did a lot of research, looking for an inexpensive bike for commuting 12 miles RT. The bike arrived quickly and was relatively easy to put together. It looks nice, with the fenders, brown seat and handlebar grips. I chose this bike because it comes with a few extra features compared to other low price point bikes, such as braze-ons for panniers & water bottles, quick release hub in front. Also nice are two brakes and the 8 gears, which help when my paniers are full of gear. I was also please that it was less than 28 lbs.

That said, don't expect much, it is a very basic bike. The ride is rough (steel frame) and I had to do some adjusting so the seat wouldn't rotate after a big bump. I tweaked the fenders to eliminate some rubbing. At the end of the day it meets my needs and I'm happy with my decision.

A good looking bike, easy to put together and rides very nicely.

Nice for the price

Bought the bike for commuting. It has worked very well. Packaged nicely and shipped fast. It is a good looking bike, a little on the heavy side. My only complaint is the frame color is a painted matte grey, the pictures made it look more of a chrome color, so not exactly what I was expecting. Overall a great bike for $259.
