Populo Metro Internal 3spd Urban Bike

These are a fantastic city bike. The 3 speeds are perfect for slow and fast city traffic. the balance is excellent; you can ride without hands all day. Lightweight, good brakes, perfect sized frame (i had x-large/58cm).
Mine got stolen in New York and i'm devastated because you can't seem to buy these anymore. So sad.

I bought the bike on a great sale, have been riding my Populo Metro for about four months, and am very pleased with it. It is lightweight and almost maintenance free with the internal 3 speed hub that shifts smoothly. I like its simple styling too. However, I may make some modifications. Even in flat but windy South Florida, I find it geared a little too high and may change out the front chainring for a smaller one, since I'm almost always using only the first and second speeds. Also, being used to disk brakes and V brakes on my other bikes, I find that the C brakes require more effort to stop, so I may change them out some day. Once I wear out the tires, I will replace them with ones that permit higher air pressure for faster rolling. Even so, I am pleased with the bike as originally equipped.

Super fun to ride and a great compromise for those that aren’t confident in getting a fixie. I love the flat black look as well. Some of the components could be upgraded like the brake handles but what’s there isn’t bad especially for the price.

If you want a more aggressive styled bike with an internal gear hub, this is your choice (mostly because it's one of the only one I found). Overall, the bike rides well, especially for the price, and I am happy with my purchase. The bike is light, the shifting feels good, and the aesthetic is sleek. I gave it only 4 stars for a few small reasons. For one, the shipment via fedex was late and frustrating to track. Additionally, while assembly out of the box was simple enough, the front wheel was so out of true that the bike shop worker asked me if I had gotten into a crash. The video said the bike would be good to ride after assembly. After truing, the bike now rides much better. Finally, the brakes aren't the greatest, but you get what you pay for. Overall, the bike does a good job at getting me where I need to go.

Pretty good bikes so far haven't had any major problems out of it bike rides really smooth really smooth and I thought it would lightweight all around just a good bike I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
