Good All Around Until REAL Steep Hill

This is an excellent low-cost alternative for the casual rider not needing amazing performance or long range. It is a bit heavy in the rear so balance is important. The motor runs on a bit after you stop pedaling, but I got use to that pretty quickly and you can stop it by merely braking. It has good power for most city streets and paved/limestone trails, including moderate hills, but struggles on steeper hills and rough off-road terrain. I had to dismount and push it up several steeper hills on one of my favorite off-road trails, using the hand throttle for assist. But then it is Not a mountain bike. A bigger motor or more gears would probably help. My wife loves it for keeping up with the grandkids. For the casual rider this is an excellent choice.

nice bike for cruizing the bike paths

As a new owner I am begining to enjoy the bike more and more. Once you get on you don't want to stop. The pedal assist and the twist throttle give you the choice of peddeling or just cruising. The 350 watt motor is smooth and quiet yet powerful enough to get you up those tough hills. The battery seems to last forever between charges. I like the fact that it has built in lights for safety. The LCD panel is very nice and easy to read and has a backlight feature that comes on when you turn the lights on. It shows you your speed, battery life, mode(eco, normal, power) and a real time bar graph of how much power you are currently using. Like any new bike you should alwys check and recheck nuts and bolts for tightness make minor adjustments as necessary.
