Congratulations to Marissa Cheng who entered in our giveaway when she purchased a Populo Sport at the Electric Bicycle Center in Fullerton, Ca.
Marissa was very excited to hear that she had won a Populo Sport. The first Populo Sport she purchased was for herself and she said the giveaway Sport would be for her Husband. After a brief conversation, I asked why she decided to buy a Populo Sport in the first place.
“It’s a good value for what you get. When I talked to Sam, he said the battery also lasts pretty long, like before recharging. He said there was somebody that did a 3-hour ride from Huntington [Beach].“So, I like the idea of knowing that the battery lasts quite a bit on one charge and you don’t have to worry about taking a longer trip and you drain all the battery too quickly.
“I also like the fact that a bike is more versatile than a scooter, you can take it to more places. Plus, Los Angeles is getting more bike-friendly, they’re doing more bike paths and stuff like that, so I also feel like we have more places to go to with a bike because there are more bike paths…
“I think getting an electric bike just seems like a better purchase than just getting a scooter. Also, I like that I can put on a basket or a rack in the back. So, I can put my gym bag stuff right there and sometimes I can go get groceries and just get a quick item or two. That way I don’t have to get out and drive my car, especially since parking can be a pain.
“It’s nice that you can go get a bike and just go with a lot less hassle. [In Los Angeles] sometimes you have to fight over parking spaces, but you never have to fight over bike parking.
“Also, you guys have a good reputation, like what I researched, you have good reviews and stuff. I liked that."
